Cape Henlopen, DE Lighthouse

Built in 1767 north of Wilmington, DE.  The tower was 26' tall, 46' above sea level to obtain additional height near the Great Dune.  Because the dune moved 3-5' each year, it eventually caused the lighthouse to fall.  The lighthouse had been discontinued before it's collapse.  Replica is approx. 4.5 x 3.5 x 5-6".  Sits on a wood base which is not attached.  Comes in a tin with a cert.
