Scotch Cap, AK Lighthouse

Located on the southwest corner of Unimak Island in Alaska, it was the first station established on the outside coast of Alaska.  Opened in 1903.  A giant earthquake & tsunami destroyed the lighthouse April 1, 1946, killing all five men who had survived WWII only to never see their homes in the lower 48.  Approx. 4.5 x 3.5 x 5-6".   Sits on an unattached wood base.  Comes in a tin. No cert.
